Location & Working Conditions

Your new workplace will be at Optimum House, Clippers Quay, Salford, M50 3XP. We offer remote working options with occasional travel to the office required. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours available—just let us know what works for you!

Your Responsibilities

As a Highways Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Design team, delivering high-quality highway schemes. Your exciting projects will include:

  • National Highways SDF Framework
  • Legacy Concrete Roads Reconstruction Framework
  • Major projects like the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine and A417 missing link

Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

  • Preparing technical design drawings, specifications, and reports in line with DMRB and relevant standards
  • Delivering highway studies and smaller schemes with minimal supervision
  • Collaborating with senior team members on major projects, taking ownership of key design elements
  • Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders
  • Using AutoCAD to provide innovative engineering solutions while ensuring quality standards are met

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a Civil Engineering degree or a similar combination of qualifications and experience
  • You’re experienced in using AutoCAD and have a working knowledge of DMRB standards
  • You’re working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body
  • You have experience delivering a range of projects and can communicate technical information clearly
  • You hold a valid driving licence and CSCS card
