Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re on the lookout for a Traffic Management Manager to join our dynamic A66 Northern Trans-Pennine team based in Penrith. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a major highway scheme while working alongside dedicated professionals.

Location & Hours

Location: Penrith - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to the office.

Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week – we’re open to discussing condensed hours if that suits you better!

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £55,000 - £63,000 per year

Your Responsibilities

As our Traffic Management Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the successful delivery of all traffic management aspects. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting the Traffic Management Lead and Project Manager with resource allocation, design, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assisting in the production of method statements, risk assessments, and traffic management drawings.
  • Chairing liaison meetings with the Police, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducting independent audits of network traffic management and traffic safety audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including Kier and National Highways policies.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you possess:

  • Strong experience in traffic management with a solid understanding of traffic management design (IHE‑TTME).
  • Relevant qualifications such as NHSS 12A Foremen, NHSS 12A TSCO/TSS, NHSS 12D M7, and SSSTS.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A full driving licence and National Highways Passport.
  • A collaborative approach with a genuine focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions.
