Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Specific Hours: 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £64,280 (includes Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses)

We are excited to invite a passionate Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster!

Main Purpose of the Job

As the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring we deliver exceptional care that promotes the rights and individuality of each young person. You will lead a dedicated team of care workers, guiding them to achieve positive outcomes in the physical, psychological, emotional, and social development of our residents.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Service and Practice:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
  • Maintain adherence to health and safety guidelines, ensuring staff are well-trained.
  • Keep accurate records for both young people and employees, implementing effective monitoring systems.
  • Innovate childcare techniques and actively participate in the senior management team.
  • Chair internal and external meetings, and take on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth process for all.
• Human Resource Management:
  • Participate in the recruitment process, ensuring all checks are completed.
  • Supervise and appraise staff in line with organizational policies.
  • Support continuous professional development and ensure mandatory training is met.
  • Manage rotas and monthly expenses efficiently.
• Management of Physical and Financial Resources:
  • Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the service premises and equipment is up to standard.
• External Affairs:
  • Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
  • Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
  • Lead psychotherapy leadership and management forums.

Required Attributes

• Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
