Position: Full Time/Permanent

Salary: £12.79 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Location: Poole

Hours: Shift pattern on rotation - ad hoc cover

Your Role

We are seeking passionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in Poole on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly, covering shifts as needed, with no contractual obligations. You will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each young person.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of support and guidance to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people.
• Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the children and young adults.
• Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of our young people.
• Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
• Work effectively as part of a team, accepting direction and guidance.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
• Flexibility in availability to cover sickness, annual leave, and various shifts, including sleep-in shifts.
• Qualifications: Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards these qualifications (Level 4 diploma is desirable).
• A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Ability to work well in a small team.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
• Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
