Salary: £46,202.89 per year (with potential earnings up to £53,402.89 through bonuses)

Your Role

As our new Registered Manager, you will lead a dedicated team in a 3-bedded children's home located in a serene rural area. Your mission? To ensure that every young person receives high-quality care that enriches their living experience and helps them achieve their best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a staff team of 6, fostering a positive and enthusiastic culture.
  • Oversee the smooth administration of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Produce, update, and monitor care plans and reports, meeting deadlines with an organized approach.
  • Lead and motivate staff, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Represent the company professionally to external agencies and within the local community.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people. You should have a positive, non-judgmental attitude and be committed to high standards of professional practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognized social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People).
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential care for children, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of Children’s Home legislation and Ofsted inspection requirements.
  • Must be licensed to drive a manual car and have business insurance.
  • Willingness to undertake on-call duties (approximately 2 per month).

  • 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child (e.g., 3-bed home = 2 x £175 = £350 pcm).
  • £2,000 car allowance.
  • Ofsted Report Bonuses: £500 for a Good report and £1,000 for an Outstanding report.
  • Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution.
  • Company sick pay after 6 months of probation.
  • On-call payments: £10 per day (Mon-Fri) and £50 for weekends.
  • Enhanced sick pay: 5 days full sick pay.
