Position: Full Time/Permanent (Casual)
Salary: £12.79 - £14.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Location: Southampton
Hours: Shift pattern on rotation - ad hoc cover

We are on the lookout for passionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in Southampton on a casual basis. This role offers you the flexibility to work hours that suit your schedule, with no contractual obligations. You will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each young person.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate support to children and young adults, promoting their welfare and safeguarding.
  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with our young people.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, accepting guidance and direction.
  • Encourage the development of individual interests and skills in our young people.
  • Be flexible with your availability to cover shifts, including sickness and annual leave.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Willingness to work towards a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A positive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
