SEN Class Teacher

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term time only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your Role

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum while addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Supporting the class team in creating learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to ensure all needs are met.
  • Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
  • Building strong relationships with your pupils to drive engagement and positive learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Possess a strong educational background at degree level.
  • Have previous successful teaching experience.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Be prepared to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
