Position Details
- Contract: 12-month fixed term, part-time, term time only
- Availability: 2 days a week (Wednesday and Friday)
- Salary: £21,257.48 - £23,232.69 (pro rata: £12,754.48 - £13,938.62)
- Location: Huddersfield

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Support one pupil or a small group (maximum six) in their learning journey
- Assist the classroom teacher during lessons
- Report on progress and concerns, collaborating with school staff
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips
- Help with lesson planning and preparation
- Set work and mark assignments where appropriate
- Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Strong basic education (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths)
- IT skills
- Experience in a similar role (teaching assistant experience is desirable)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
- Ability to take responsibility for areas such as food hygiene, forest school, or activities
- Experience in behaviour management
- Commitment to professional development
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
