Operational Support Chef
About the Role

Join us in a pivotal role that supports our resort culinary teams in delivering high-quality dishes that align with the recipes specified in Starchef and by our franchise partners. Your expertise will drive improvements in food quality and enhance guest experiences through strict adherence to recipe standards and targeted training.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Chefs: Help deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring consistent food quality.
- Monitor Performance: Improve key performance indicators related to food cost, wastage, and margin.
- Ensure Compliance: Hold teams accountable for operational standards and recipe adherence.
- Collaborate: Work with venues to identify and address gaps in culinary execution and training.
- Health & Safety: Support resort teams in compliance with H&S and FSMS policies through regular audits.
Additional Responsibilities
- Audit recipe and dish accuracy to drive operational excellence and enhance NPS scores.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and adherence to food technical practices and health & safety procedures.
- Identify chefs’ skills gaps to improve team competency and knowledge.
- Manage administrative tasks related to recipe updates in systems like Starchef and DateCodeGenie.
- Provide pre-launch menu and recipe details to ensure successful menu execution.
- Strictly adhere to food safety regulations and support allergen visibility for guests.
- Assist in understanding margin performance against theoretical GP targets.
- Advise on equipment to maximize profitability and reduce redundant stock.
- Conduct ongoing food quality reviews and product selection to maintain high standards.
- Support menu dish development and be aware of TI/NPS scores to drive improvements.
- Review action plans with resort leadership following audit findings.
- Support franchise venues in back-of-house operations to ensure brand compliance.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Knowledgeable: Familiar with food production processes and techniques.
- Experienced: Operational knowledge of multi-site, high-volume kitchen environments.
- Improvement-Oriented: Proven experience in enhancing food quality scores.
- Safety-Conscious: Strong understanding of HACCP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety standards.
- Detail-Oriented: High standards and attention to detail.
- Adaptable: Able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing requirements.
- Inspirational: Capable of influencing and motivating teams across various sites.
- Communicative: Excellent communication skills with a problem-solving attitude.
