Your New Role
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to lead our Technical Services team at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making Of Harry Potter (WBSTL).
As part of our Technical Services department, you’ll maintain all show-related aspects of the Studio Tour, including lighting, sound, video, sets, props, and show control. Collaborating closely with original filmmakers and select suppliers, you’ll ensure that our Studio Tour operates at the highest standards, delivering a world-class visitor experience.
Your Role Accountabilities
Lead and Inspire: Manage, train, and develop the Technical Services team to ensure high performance and compliance with service standards.
Drive Technical Excellence: Maintain show systems and deliver planned preventative maintenance to maximize reliability.
Champion Health & Safety: Proactively resolve technical issues and enhance processes for an improved visitor experience.
Resource Planning: Oversee staffing and operational efficiency to keep the department fully functional.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to ensure effective planning and delivery of technical installations.
Duty Management: Act as Duty Manager and Duty Technician to oversee daily operations and technical delivery.
Budget Management: Handle departmental budgets and supplier relationships, ensuring strong cost control.
Qualifications and Experience
Management Experience: Proven experience leading a Technical Services team in the tourism, leisure, or heritage industry.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of AV installations, electronics, interactives, and animatronics.
Project Management Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management abilities.
Team Leadership: Ability to manage multi-skilled technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Facilities Management Knowledge: Familiarity with work order systems and effective problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent organization and IT skills, with the ability to adapt and collaborate effectively.
Certifications: Qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, IOSH, or NEBOSH are advantageous.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) with a shift pattern that includes regular weekend and evening work. Flexibility is key, as you may be required to work during weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays.
As an ambassador for the business, you’ll support the Head of Show Experience and represent the team in meetings with third parties.
