Location & Working Conditions

Location: Optimum House, Clippers Quay, Salford, M50 3XP

Remote Working: Available with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility on hours if desired. Just let us know when you speak to us!

Your Responsibilities

As a Highways Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Design team, delivering high-quality highway schemes. Your role will involve:

  • Preparing technical design drawings, specifications, and reports in line with DMRB and relevant standards
  • Taking responsibility for delivering highway studies and smaller schemes with minimal supervision
  • Collaborating closely with senior team members on major projects, owning key design elements
  • Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to maintain excellent relationships
  • Using AutoCAD to provide innovative engineering solutions while ensuring quality standards are met

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a Civil Engineering degree or a similar combination of qualifications and experience
  • You’re experienced in using AutoCAD and have a working knowledge of DMRB standards
  • You’re working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body
  • You have experience delivering a range of projects and can communicate technical information clearly
  • You hold a valid driving licence and CSCS card
