Founded in 1987 by a group of devoted foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we’ve built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, especially those who have faced challenging beginnings. Our Integrated Service Programme ensures that every child is surrounded by a network of professionals—including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists—who are dedicated to providing the best care possible.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation in children's services.
- Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to a car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a commitment to maintaining high standards in fostering practices. You will also play a key role in training both prospective and current foster parents.
