Location & Hours
Location: Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week – we offer flexibility, so just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Design Team, helping to deliver reliable and compliant drainage and water design solutions. You’ll work on exciting projects that truly impact communities. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Producing engineering calculations, drawings, and design documentation for drainage and water projects.
- Assisting with hydraulic and hydrological models, and preparing reports and specifications.
- Supporting site visits, surveys, and investigations to inform design work.
- Conducting research and desk studies to ensure designs meet required standards and regulations.
- Identifying and flagging any risks or issues within your tasks to support timely resolution.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience in producing engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and models in drainage and water design.
- You understand relevant design standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
- You’re comfortable with site visits, surveys, and desk-based research.
- You possess strong attention to detail and can communicate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- You hold a full driving licence and are willing to travel as required.
