Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re on the lookout for a Traffic Management Manager to join our dynamic A66 Northern Trans-Pennine team based in Penrith. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a major highway scheme while working with a dedicated group of professionals.
Location & Hours
Location: Penrith - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week – we’re open to discussing condensed hours if that suits you better!
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £55,000 - £63,000 per year, plus:
- Private healthcare
- £5.9k annual car allowance

Your Responsibilities
As our Traffic Management Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the successful delivery of all traffic management aspects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Traffic Management Lead and Project Manager with resource allocation, design, and compliance with National Highways governance.
- Assisting in the production of method statements, risk assessments, and traffic management drawings.
- Chairing liaison meetings with the Police, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Conducting independent audits of network traffic management and traffic safety audits.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including Kier and National Highways policies.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you possess:
- Strong experience in traffic management and a solid understanding of traffic management design (IHE-TTME).
- Relevant qualifications such as NHSS 12A Foremen, NHSS 12A TSCO/TSS, NHSS 12D M7, and SSSTS.
- The ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A full driving licence and National Highways Passport.
- A collaborative approach with a genuine focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions.
