Location: Doncaster

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Specific Hours: 39 hours per week

Salary: Up to £64,280 (includes Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses)

Your Role

We are on the lookout for a passionate Children's Home Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster. In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care that respects the rights of each young person.
  • Lead a dedicated team of care workers, aligning with relevant legislation to achieve positive outcomes for our young residents.
  • Contribute to the ethos, values, and aims of our organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with legislation, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
  • External Affairs: Promote the organization positively with external agencies and contribute to leadership forums.

What We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiasm: A genuine passion for providing the highest quality care and education.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing a team within a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Qualifications: A relevant Diploma Level 5 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.

Working Conditions

This role requires sleep-in duties as outlined in the home’s rota, with some office days for administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for on-call duties on a rota basis.
