Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days
Salary: Up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE)
Location: Home-based, supporting Foster Parents across the East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some households in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Your Role
We are looking for a passionate Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in:
- Recruiting, training, assessing, and supervising Foster Parents.
- Ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents. Here’s what you need:
- Excellent assessment and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong IT skills with the ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
- Recent experience in fostering and services for children is desirable, but we welcome less experienced candidates.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
- A shared creative vision and drive, whether you're new to fostering or an experienced supervising social worker.
Working Conditions & Benefits
This part-time, fixed-term position is home-based and offers:
- Salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), based on experience.
- £1,000 Car Allowance, pro rata.
- 30 days' annual leave, pro rata + bank holidays.
