Global Command Center (GCC)
In the GCC, our Operations Engineers are the backbone of our operations, acting as part of a collaborative team that ensures seamless production, broadcast engineering, and editing. You’ll be at the heart of incident management, service requests, and activities that keep our broadcasts running smoothly.
Your New Role
As an Operations Engineer, you will:
- Receive incoming calls, communications, and tickets, performing first-call triage and resolution on incidents ranging from low priority to on-air emergencies.
- Monitor services and equipment across a variety of systems and technologies.
- Coordinate communication around major incidents that impact operations.
- Log all incidents and requests in an industry-standard IT Service Management tool.
- Engage with WBD production teams, engineering groups, on-air talent, journalists, and editors globally, providing 24/7 support.
- Participate in larger projects, including cabling and equipment installation, integration, and testing.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Technology: Competence in digital audio & video studio environments, control systems, and a strong understanding of IP production environments (SMPTE 2022/2110).
- Production: A solid grasp of the production and editorial process and how technology failures can impact content production.
- Leadership & Management: Lead major incident responses, set priorities, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
- Service Management: Understand service management processes, including incident management and service reporting.
Working Conditions
This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the workplace. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
