Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive home for children and young people. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting young people with their daily routines
- Building trusting relationships as a reliable adult
- Helping them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
- Ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day
Whether you have prior experience or this is your first role in this field, we are committed to providing you with the training and support you need to thrive.
Working Pattern
Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule:
- Each shift lasts 24 hours (you will be paid to sleep at the home)
- Typically, you will complete two or three shifts in a row
- Shifts will include a mix of weekdays and weekends
- Opportunities for overtime are available if desired
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
- Possess a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
- Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
