Salary: Earning up to £36,768.20 with sleep-in shifts (dependent on qualification and experience)

Location: Southampton

Specific Hours: Average 38 hours p/week - Shift pattern on rotation

Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our team, helping children and young people thrive in a welcoming home. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting young people with their daily routines
  • Building positive relationships and becoming a trusted adult
  • Helping them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
  • Ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day

Experience with children or young people is a plus, but if this is your first role in this field, don’t worry! We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident from day one.

Working Pattern

Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule, typically consisting of:

  • 24-hour shifts (with paid sleep-in time)
  • Two to three shifts in a row
  • A mix of weekdays and weekends
  • Opportunities for overtime if desired

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
  • Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
  • Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
  • Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
