Join Our Global Command Center (GCC)

As an Operations Engineer in the GCC, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that serves as the central nervous system for incidents, service requests, and activities across our production, broadcast engineering, and editing operations.

Your New Role...

In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Receive incoming calls, communications, and tickets, performing first-call triage and resolution on incidents ranging from low priority to on-air emergencies.
  • Monitor services and equipment across various systems and technologies, coordinating communication around major incidents that impact our operations.
  • Log all incidents and requests using industry-standard IT Service Management tools, ensuring clear communication through enterprise-level notification systems.
  • Engage with WBD production teams, engineering groups, on-air talent, journalists, and editors globally, providing 24/7 support.
  • Shadow other engineering teams and participate in larger projects, including cabling and equipment installation, integration, and testing.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Technology: Competence in digital audio & video studio environments, control systems, and a strong understanding of IP production environments (SMPTE 2022/2110).
  • Production: A solid grasp of the production and editorial process, understanding how technology failures can impact content production.
  • Leadership & Management: Ability to lead major incident responses, set priorities, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Service Management: Understanding of service management processes, including incident management and service reporting.

Working Conditions

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the workplace. WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
