Your New Role: Operations Engineer
As an Operations Engineer in our Global Command Center (GCC), you’ll be part of a collaborative team that serves as the central nervous system for incidents, service requests, and activities across our production and broadcast operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and triage incoming calls, communications, and tickets, resolving incidents from low priority to on-air emergencies.
- Monitor services and equipment across various systems and technologies.
- Coordinate communication during major incidents that impact operations.
- Log all incidents and requests using industry-standard IT Service Management tools.
- Engage with WBD production teams, engineering groups, on-air talent, journalists, and editors globally, providing 24/7 support.
- Participate in larger projects, including cabling, equipment installation, and testing across our facilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Technology Skills: Competency in digital audio & video studio environments, control systems, and a strong understanding of IP production environments (SMPTE 2022/2110).
- Production Knowledge: Understanding of the production and editorial process and how technology failures impact content production.
- Leadership Abilities: Capability to lead major incident responses and influence cross-functional teams.
- Service Management Expertise: Solid understanding of service management processes, including incident and change management.
Working Conditions
This role is onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at our workplace. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this agreement based on business needs.
