Your New Role: Operations Engineer

As an Operations Engineer in our Global Command Center (GCC), you will be part of a collaborative team that acts as the central nervous system for incidents, service requests, and activities across production, broadcast engineering, editing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and triage incoming calls, communications, and tickets.
  • Perform resolution, dispatch, and escalation on incidents, from low priority to On-Air emergencies.
  • Monitor services and equipment across various systems and technologies.
  • Coordinate communication around Major Incidents impacting operations.
  • Log all incidents and requests using an industry-standard IT Service Management tool.
  • Engage with WBD production teams, Engineering groups, On-Air Talent, Journalists, and Editors globally.
  • Participate in larger projects, including cabling and equipment installation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technology Skills: Competency in digital audio & video studio environments, control systems, and IP production environments (SMPTE 2022/2110).
  • Production Knowledge: Understanding of the production and editorial process and how technology failures impact content production.
  • Leadership Abilities: Capability to lead Major Incident responses and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Service Management Understanding: Familiarity with service management processes, including incident and problem management.

Working Conditions

This role is onsite, meaning all working hours will be conducted at our workplace. Please note that WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
