For the successful Health & Safety Lead our client is offering;
- Permanent position
- Salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- 8.30 - 17.30pm Monday - Thursday, 9.00am - 3.00 pm finish Friday
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. We also offer an additional five service days.

The Role of the Health & Safety Lead;
Overall responsibility for the production of office, factory and installation documentation and systems to ensure operations are undertaken in a manner which fully complies with recognised legislative Health & Safety Standards.
To drive Health & Safety initiatives, monitor performance, complete the Group safety cloud reporting requirements and attend H&S forums as required.
Key Duties;
- Familiarisation with all processes and products within the manufacturing base and associated installation procedures.
- Familiarisation with current Health & Safety legislation, regulations, best practice, and commercial requirements to effectively manage risk control. This includes current CDM regulations.
- Risk assessment of individual internal operations for development and preparation of SSoW in association with operational personnel and managers.
- Company Health & Safety induction training for all personnel.
- Accident and near-miss investigation and reporting - including notification of relevant authorities. Highlighting areas for corrective and preventative action.
- Control of sub-contractors on-premises in partnership with relevant departments and managers.
- Assist in monitoring Health & Safety training requirements throughout the manufacturing, office and field-based installation areas.
- Continual site monitoring for hazards - including (but not limited to):- Environmental Hazards - Noise - COSHH - HAVS - Asbestos - Workstation assessments.
- Delivery of Health & Safety training in agreed / competent areas.
- Maintain critical equipment matrix and audit compliance with associated departments.
- Welding inspection and testing.
- Assist in the development of Health & Safety procedures, policies and documentation in line with legislative and continual improvement changes.
- Production of analytical and cost support data to evaluate performance to a predetermined set of KPI's.
- Maintenance and uploading of information on to business management computer systems both internally and externally.
- Take reasonable instructions from Heads of Departments and Directors.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance
- Adhere to, and ensure compliance with, existing and future Company Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental systems, policies and procedures.

- Enthusiasm with a willingness to take ownership of the tasks and responsibilities given to this position, with the drive and flexibility to look ahead and plan accordingly.
- Ability to cope with technical information.
- Well organised with excellent communication and time management skills.
- Excellent numerical, literacy and ICT skills.
- A full driving license is essential
- Commitment to personal development and further training - NEBOSH training is essential
- Ability to work both as part of a team and to operate independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to use own initiative and to prioritise a demanding workload. Demonstrate a positive attitude to all undertakings.
