Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission. Our Integrated Services Programme (ISP) offers a comprehensive range of support services, ensuring that both children and foster parents have access to the resources they need. Our team includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to provide a therapeutic approach to fostering.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, enabling effective supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
- Has a full driving license and unrestricted access to a car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
