Are you ready to make a real impact? We’re looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at FCA Midlands. You’ll play a crucial role in driving the growth and development of our fostering services across the Midlands.
With a hybrid working model, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of balancing office collaboration with working from home. Our office is based in Bromsgrove, and you’ll have the opportunity to support our Foster Parents across Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas.

Your Responsibilities
- Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
- Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
- Work collaboratively to identify needs within the foster family, including respite and therapy.
- Ensure compliance with all key documentation for each child and foster parent.
- Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual care packages.
- Promote the participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
- Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You’ll Need
- A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
- A full driving licence.
