Salary: Earning up to £36,768.20 with sleep-in shifts (dependent on qualification and experience)

Location: Southampton

Specific Hours: Average 38 hours p/week - Shift pattern on rotation

Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

  • Support young people with their daily routines
  • Build positive relationships and become a trusted adult
  • Help them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
  • Ensure they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day

Experience with children or young people is a plus, but if this is your first role in this field, don’t worry! We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident from day one.

Working Pattern

Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule, typically consisting of:

  • 24-hour shifts (you are paid to sleep at the home)
  • Two or three shifts in a row
  • A mix of weekdays and weekends
  • Opportunities for overtime if desired

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
  • A friendly demeanor, with strong communication skills to engage with children and colleagues
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
