Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Support young people with their daily routines
- Build positive relationships and become a trusted adult
- Help them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
- Ensure they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day
No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident in your role from day one. Your positive attitude and genuine desire to help will be your greatest assets!
Working Pattern
Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule, typically averaging 38 hours per week. Each shift lasts 24 hours (with sleep-in shifts included), and you will usually work two or three shifts in a row, mixing weekdays and weekends. Overtime opportunities are available if you're interested!
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel is required)
- Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
- Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
