At ISP School, located in the beautiful Glengorse Estate in Battle, East Sussex, we provide specialist education for 7-18-year-olds facing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), as well as communication and learning needs.

Position Overview

Contract: Part-time, 15 hours per week (2 days), term time only
Salary: £28,000 - £39,590 pro rata
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Battle
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Your Role

As a qualified teacher at ISP School, you will:

  • Teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Plan, prepare, and present engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your class.
  • Utilize our positive behaviour policy to foster responsibility and accountability among students.
  • Motivate children to embrace learning, develop a love for education, and thrive in their academic journey.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have successful teaching experience, particularly with vulnerable children.
  • Possess SEN experience, focusing on nurturing children with SEMH and ASC needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, especially in Maths or English.
  • Exhibit excellent behaviour management skills and a reflective teaching practice.
  • Understand therapeutic approaches to education and adapt your teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Deliver dynamic and engaging lessons that inspire students.
