Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Services Programme (ISP) ensures that children and foster parents have access to a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working together to create a nurturing environment.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. Key qualifications include:

  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
