Position: Resource Planner
Location: Littlecombe Depot, Dursley, GL11 4BA
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £11.49 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities

Provide a frontline, customer-focused service to tenants, leaseholders, trade operatives, and stakeholders.

Plan and allocate jobs effectively for trade operatives using an electronic scheduling system.

Manage changes to operatives’ diaries, including annual leave and sickness.

Administer and schedule servicing for Council-owned and managed properties (e.g., Gas Safety Inspections, Electrical Periodic Tests).

Support the organisation and administration of in-house services and contractors.

Ensure compliance with Council Financial Regulations, Contract Standing Orders, and Divisional Procedures.

Resolve customer queries and complaints, advising on the corporate complaints procedure where necessary.

Contribute to team performance by promoting customer participation and gathering satisfaction information.

Maintain and update the Council’s stock condition database with repair information.

Undertake routine administrative support to ensure efficient service delivery.
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements:

Good written and verbal communication skills.
-
Experience working with the public.
-
IT literate with the ability to use integrated computer systems for job allocation and repairs.

Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
-
Understanding of basic property maintenance issues.
-
Ability to respond to queries and complaints and work under own initiative.
Nice-to-Have Requirements:

General understanding of natural gas systems and renewable technologies.

Experience diagnosing faults using diagnostic software.

Knowledge of property maintenance regulations and best practice.
Additional Instructions

Travel may be required; HMRC mileage rates apply.

Work may include evenings or weekends to support community needs.
