Join our team as a Specialist Harm Reduction Worker in Fife.

Are you a compassionate and motivated individual who wants to change peoples lives? Our team in Fife is looking for a Specialist Harm Reduction Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, wed love to hear from you.

As a Specialist Harm Reduction Worker, we offer a starting salary of £26,250 per annum. The salary for this role is on an incremental scale and will rise each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,900 per annum.

This is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months.

Main duties of the job

Our Specialist Harm Reduction Workers play a vital role in supporting clients, providing information and advice in relation to reducing drug and alcohol related harm, including promoting safer drug use practices; working with individuals most at risk.

In this role you will provide harm reduction interventions, structured one to one work, outreach harm reduction and multi agency liaison with our partners. You will play a key role in the development of Harm Minimisation interventions in a community setting.

This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring theyre always treated with respect and dignity.

  • We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
  • You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
  • To be successful in this role you will:
  • have experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting
  • have knowledge and understanding of delivering evidence-based interventions
  • have experience of delivering group work, specifically in outreach and community settings
  • have knowledge of health and safety, including assessing clients in high-risk situations
  • have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work
  • be comfortable using IT and digital media
  • able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion and be happy to support other With You locations when needed
