Salary: Up to £43,626.47 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: North Wales - Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham

Your Role

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Foster Parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care
  • Monitoring the suitability and competence of Foster Parents
  • Providing regular supervision in line with FCA's Operational Standards
  • Collaborating with the foster family and child’s network to identify needs
  • Ensuring compliance with key documentation for children and Foster Parents
  • Participating in meetings and providing reports for commissioning teams
  • Promoting participation of children/young people in agency development
  • Participating in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis
  • Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments

What You Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Work qualification
  • Professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent
  • Strong report writing skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • The ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
  • A full driving licence
