Base Location: Ashurst, Southampton

Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • Has a full driving license and unrestricted access to a car.

Working Conditions

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that combines quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
