Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 21 hours per week over 3 days

Salary: Up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE)

Location: Home-based, supporting Foster Parents across the East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some households in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Your Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in:

  • Recruiting, training, assessing, and supervising Foster Parents.
  • Ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.

About You

  • Enthusiastic and committed self-starter, able to work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents.
  • Excellent assessment skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills and capable of producing high-quality reports.
  • Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience in fostering and services for children is desirable, but less experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in fostering and safeguarding.
  • A shared creative vision and drive, whether you're new to fostering or an experienced supervising social worker.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time, fixed-term position that is home-based, offering a competitive salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), along with a car allowance and excellent benefits.
