We’re on the lookout for dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our Southampton team. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Assist young people with their daily routines
- Build trusting relationships and be a reliable adult figure
- Encourage the development of confidence, life skills, and independence
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment every day
Whether you have prior experience or are new to this field, we are committed to equipping you with the skills you need to succeed.
Working Pattern
Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule:
- Each shift lasts 24 hours (you’ll be paid to sleep at the home)
- Typically, you will work two or three shifts in a row
- Expect a mix of weekdays and weekends
- Opportunities for overtime are available if desired
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
- Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
