With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Service Programme ensures that children and foster parents have access to a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all dedicated to fostering a therapeutic approach to care.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
- A full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes both quality assurance and training roles for prospective and current foster parents. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, with the cost covered by ISP.
