Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a unique Integrated Service Programme that places children at the heart of everything we do. Our approach combines a range of professional support services, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for children and their foster families.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of up to £39,500 per annum, plus a £3,000 car allowance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
  • Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • A strong report writer who can meet strict deadlines.

Essential Qualifications

  • Hold a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • Full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This role is demanding but rewarding, offering you the chance to make a real impact in the lives of children and families. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
