Your Role in the SMR Division
In this exciting position, you’ll be part of the Exeter cluster, covering areas like Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth, and more. Say goodbye to emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts! Instead, you’ll work through a scheduled list of jobs, equipped with the time, tools, and support to deliver quality work.
What to Expect Daily
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule of pre-booked jobs. You’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time to do the job right, without the pressure of reactive breakdowns.
What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
