Your Role at a Glance
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start at £40,178, with potential on-target earnings of up to £52,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Increase your base salary to £44,385 with additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- Structured Work Hours: 40 hours per week, core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

You’ll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering beautiful areas like Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and more. Enjoy the freedom of being out on the road, working through a clearly planned schedule of appointments—no reactive callouts, just organized, pre-booked work!
Your Daily Tasks
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, and each job is pre-booked with the member expecting you. You’ll carry out:
- Routine servicing
- Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Member advice and recommendations based on your inspections
- Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
With everything you need from day one—a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and advanced diagnostics—you’ll use your technical skills to get people moving safely and confidently.

What You’ll Need
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
