Are you ready to make a difference? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaner to join our dedicated team at the Lichfield Fire Station as part of the Stoke and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue team.

Location:

Lichfield Fire Station, Lichfield, WS13 6HU

Hours:

Flexible 15 hours per week

Your Role:

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the fire station. You’ll work closely with the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure a welcoming environment for all. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Cleaning and maintaining all areas, including hard floors, carpets, surfaces, furniture, doors, mirrors, and radiators.
  • Ensuring bathrooms, sinks, taps, and sanitary areas are thoroughly cleaned and stocked with essential consumables.
  • Emptying and disposing of waste correctly while maintaining waste receptacles and following proper waste segregation procedures.
  • Adhering to COSHH guidelines and health and safety regulations, including colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or pest concerns to your supervisor and maintaining cleaning equipment to required standards.

  • You understand health and safety at work, particularly COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment.

  • You’re able to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain high personal hygiene and professional standards.
  • You’re reliable, trustworthy, and committed to creating a clean, welcoming environment for all users of the building.
