Your Role

As an Apprentice Administrator, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive day-to-day administrative support for the office team, including:
    • Maintaining databases
    • Producing professionally written emails and letters
    • Processing incoming and outgoing post
    • Photocopying and message taking
    • Processing invoices
  • Supporting the social work team with data collection, recording, filing, and auditing
  • Maintaining accurate databases/registers of all families and children placed
  • Building supportive relationships with foster parents as a key point of contact
  • Liaising with Local Authority Social Workers and other professionals
  • Monitoring foster parent and staff training records for compliance
  • Taking minutes of monthly team meetings and distributing them
  • Creating content for our online information platform and newsletter

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Basic administration skills
  • GCSE/equivalent in Maths and English (A Level 2 Functional Skills qualification can be completed alongside your apprenticeship)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
  • A warm, confident personality with excellent communication skills

Working Conditions

This is a full-time apprenticeship position, requiring 35 hours per week. You will have dedicated time during your workweek to attend your Business Administration Level 3 course, either in college or online.
