With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the center of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Service Programme (ISP) includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for children and foster families.
What You'll Do
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications pertaining to children's services.
- A full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Ashurst, Southampton. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
