Fostering People is seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior/Supervising Social Worker for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Foster Parents across the East Midlands, primarily in Derby and Derbyshire, with some potential involvement in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Your Role

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents.
  • Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
  • Work closely with a friendly and dynamic team.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can:

  • Work independently while maintaining strong connections with team members and Foster Parents.
  • Demonstrate excellent assessment skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exhibit good IT skills and produce high-quality reports.
  • Hold a qualification in Social Work with current HCPC registration.
  • Possess recent experience in fostering and services for children (desirable, but less experienced candidates are welcome).
  • Have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
  • Bring a real drive and shared creative vision, whether you're new to fostering or an experienced supervising social worker.

Working Conditions and Benefits

This part-time, home-based position offers:

  • A competitive salary of up to £24,930.29 per annum (£41,550.49 FTE), depending on experience.
  • A £1,000 car allowance, pro rata.
  • 30 days of annual leave, pro rata, plus bank holidays.
