About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have developed a unique Integrated Service Programme that places children at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated team of social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists work collaboratively to provide the support that children and foster parents need, ensuring a therapeutic approach to fostering.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation in children's services.
- Has a full driving license and unrestricted access to a car.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a dynamic and supportive work environment. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
