Your Role

We are on the lookout for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Full-Time Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and inspirational team. Based in Abergele, we support a hybrid working model that offers flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Foster Parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of Foster Parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated Foster Parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs and provide necessary support.
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for each child and Foster Parent.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams.
  • Promote participation of children/young people in agency development and local community resources.
  • Participate in an 'out of hours' support service and day duty system on a rota basis.
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional nights away.
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • A full driving licence.
