Join Our Team as a Cleaner!

Are you ready to make a difference? We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Cleaner to join our Stoke and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue team at the Lichfield Fire Station.

Lichfield Fire Station, Lichfield, WS13 6HU

Hours:

Flexible 15 hours per week

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. As a Cleaner, you will work closely with the Cleaning Supervisor to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the fire station. Your contributions will truly enhance the working environment!

Your Responsibilities

As part of the Facilities Management team, you will:

• Clean and maintain all areas, including hard floors, carpets, surfaces, furniture, doors, mirrors, and radiators to the highest standards.
• Ensure bathrooms, sinks, taps, and sanitary areas are thoroughly cleaned and stocked with necessary consumables.
• Empty and dispose of waste correctly, maintaining waste receptacles and following proper waste segregation procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH guidelines and health and safety regulations, including colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report any maintenance issues or pest concerns to your supervisor promptly and maintain cleaning equipment to required standards.

• You have previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school, office, fire station, or commercial building.
• You understand health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH, and the safe use of cleaning equipment.
• You can work independently while being a collaborative team member who takes pride in delivering quality results.
• You can prioritize tasks effectively and maintain high personal hygiene and professional standards.
• You are reliable, trustworthy, and committed to creating a clean, welcoming environment for all users of the building.
