Are you ready to make a significant impact on an exciting highways project? We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Structures team on the A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the commercial function while working on a project that truly matters!

Key Details

Location: A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon, Gloucestershire – Enjoy a blend of office and remote working!

Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week – Flexibility available!

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per year + private healthcare + £5,900 annual car allowance + excellent benefits

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing costs, maximizing value, and ensuring top-notch quality and safety throughout the contract. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract control.
  • Overseeing change control with subcontractors in line with NEC4 procedures.
  • Minimizing the risk of disallowed costs from the client.
  • Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing Kier’s risk management policies.
  • Maximizing cash flow through the control, measurement, and valuation of work, including invoicing and supplier payments.
  • Valuing work executed by subcontractors and certifying interim and final payments.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for someone who has:

  • Experience in a similar role within the highways sector.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Confidence using MS Office, particularly Excel, and other IT systems.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with flexibility to travel when required.
