Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Lune Gorge project team. This is your chance to be part of a high-profile infrastructure project, where you’ll play a key role in delivering commercial excellence. Could this be you?

Job Details

Location: Nationwide – site-based role in Tebay, Cumbria, with some remote working available

Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 45 hours per week – flexible hours can be discussed

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year + £5,000 annual car allowance + benefits

Your Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing project costs and driving value. You’ll collaborate closely with our commercial and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial resources and supporting contract performance to achieve planned margins
  • Preparing and submitting valuations, claims, and contract performance information in line with project requirements
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting financial performance across work packages, providing clear and accurate reporting
  • Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks, supporting timely resolution of issues
  • Supporting cash flow through accurate measurement, valuation, and commercial control of works

What We’re Looking For

This role could be a perfect fit for you if you:

  • Hold a construction-related degree or equivalent qualification
  • Have a full UK driving licence and are comfortable working in a site-based environment
  • Bring experience in a commercial role within a contractor environment, particularly in transportation or construction
  • Are confident using MS Office, especially Excel, to manage and interpret commercial data
  • Communicate effectively and enjoy building strong working relationships across project teams
