Your Role in the SMR Division
In this exciting position, you’ll be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas like Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch. Say goodbye to emergency callouts and unpredictable shifts! Instead, you’ll work through a planned schedule of jobs, allowing you to focus on quality work.
What to Expect Daily
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and waiting for you. You’ll be responsible for:
- Routine servicing
- Advanced diagnostics
- In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
- Providing member advice and recommendations
- Conducting vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards
With a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and tools at your disposal, you’ll have everything you need to get people moving safely and confidently.

What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
