About Us

Founded in 1994 by a former foster parent and social worker, Foster Care Associates (FCA) is a leading fostering agency dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of looked-after children. Our journey began in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, and we have since grown into one of the UK's largest communities of children's service providers.

With a strong reputation for excellence, FCA offers a wide range of services to children and families. Our mission remains clear: to make a positive and lasting difference for children, families, and communities. We are proud to be rated as Outstanding by Ofsted, and our dedicated team is committed to supporting every child and foster parent in our care.

Your Role

As a Referrals Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing referrals from local authorities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carefully matching placements according to children's needs using key information and matching criteria.
  • Being the first point of contact between local authorities, foster families, and social workers.
  • Utilizing your initiative to find creative solutions for foster placement requests.
  • Building positive relationships through effective communication, both written and face-to-face.

While previous experience in children's services is a plus, it’s not essential. What matters most is your passion for making a difference and your excellent organizational and administrative skills. We provide comprehensive training and a supportive induction process to help you thrive in this role.

What We’re Looking For

If you have strong communication and administrative skills and are eager to join a team dedicated to improving the lives of children and families, we want to hear from you!
